Like, lots of people ship John/Dave because they enjoy how their two personalities interact. I know what point that they were trying to make. But in the context of the original opinion it just comes off as fucking stupid as well as kind-of irrelevant. Part of the original opinion is how ridiculously often John is shipped slash-ways. Trying to excuse that by saying “WELL I SHIP BECAUSE OF THEIR PERSONALITIES”, is roughly equivalent to saying “Well I ship John gay so much because of his personality.” Hence my response. Zoom
