I guess this is a kind of weird peeve to have, and I understand that it’s part of the plot etc etc, but the whole exobiology thing confuses and annoys me.
I think it makes the family trees for the characters unnecessarily complicated, and suddenly ships that were “”ok”” in the first few acts become “eww no incest” after they become ectosibs.
I don’t really know how to put into words why it bugs me. I just wish there was a something else instead ectobiology in the story.

(That being said, I do hope that when the Alpha session gets to ectobiological shenanigans Dirk and Jake end up ectosibs, and Jane and Roxy end up ectosibs. Even the shipping playing field a bit, because then ALL THE CHARACTERS WOULD BE ECTOBIOLOGICALLY RELATED)
The Alpha Session isn’t going to get any ectobiology session you idiot. Pay some fucking attention.
