first off, sollux never wanted to fight eridan in the first place!!

when he saw eridan walking over he literally just wanted him to go away since aradia just blew up in his face and he honestly just wasn’t in the mood

and even after sollux told feferi and eridan he wasn’t fucking interested eridan still tried to provoke him by insulting his blood color and threatening to slit his throat but sollux!! still handled the situation maturely because he didn’t want to fight

and eridan still continued to try and provoke him despite that but sollux didn’t even bother replying until!!! eridan said the thing

that was!! a HUGE problem because eridan just stated he was going to join one of the most dangerous villains in the game which would result in him GIVING AWAY THEIR HIDEOUT AND CAUSING EVERYONE TO GET KILLED

sollux even lets eridan know he thinks hes fucking insane and this whole thing is a joke

and!! don’t forget that feferi was the one that said her and sollux had to stop him

but as we already know sollux is very selfless and cares about his friends and he’s absolutely not going to let eridan get everyone killed
even though!! he still doesn’t even want to fight he just wants to sleep but he JUST WANTS TO PROTECT HIS FRIENDS!!!

so don’t!! blame sollux at all for him and eridan’s duel because there isn’t anything wrong for wanting to protect your friends and it’s honestly really fucking sad seeing people blame him for trying to do the right thing and keep everyone safe just so they could try and justify eridan’s actions

Ah yeah… I had forgotten about that. That was a thing for a while, but it seemed to stop being a thing at some point, for some reason.

Honestly, it was a good idea. It nicely summarizes the whole messy subject in a single, simple fashion, takes back a word that’s already identifiable and takes away it’s power as an insult. It’s way better than messily slopping together everything in the way that LGBTQIA+ does.

Something that seems to go over the heads of a lot of these people is that the fight for rights is fundamentally indistinguishable from PR. This isn’t a war you’re fighting, it’s an ad campaign.

The way that a lot of Social Justice types behave might make them feel good, like they’re special and elite, but it doesn’t actually help anything. Hostility? Anger? This sort of behavior does absolutely nothing but hurt matters.

Likewise, the draconian lexicon of specific terminology and behavior. That needs to be toned down as well. You know what happens when your information is too dense? When it’s too complicated? Or too much? Or too demanding? Nobody pays attention.

Really, just… keep it simple, and don’t expect too much.

For example, don’t expect people to “ask for your pronouns”, and for fuck’s sakes don’t invent new ones. It’s English, we’ve got two options for singular personal pronouns. Besides which, they’re third person pronouns, they aren’t even for you, their entire purpose is for the convenience of other people through facilitating communication regarding third parties.

But that’s mostly just a giant pet peeve of mine. Sort-of.

…By the way, has there ever been an organization or movement with a + sign in it’s name that hasn’t been completely stupid?

The only other one I can think of is Atheism+, and that whole thing is stupid beyond words.

Basically my thoughts on SJWs.

Y’all wanna know why I’m critical of SJWs, it’s because I’ve been on the receiving end of these tactics and I was straight-up being emotionally manipulated and bullied.

I have seen somebody go through this and alienate everybody they know.

It is pretty terrifying.

I don’t have a problem with fighting for what I believe in. I am a feminist, I am a lesbian, and I have a lot to fight for.

But this is different. This is not fighting for you believe in. It’s attacking people and it’s a self-destructive cycle you live in. It’s frightening. I’ve watched it. I still watch it, on occasion.

So this kinda speaks to me about SJWs, for the most part.

It’s like I said a while back: no solidarity for victims whose only coping mechanism is to make more victims. None. Zilch.

Mm, it’s a stupid, stupid move to just remove them.

I could see the reasoning behind removing the ones that people are just painting onto the road of their own volition, that can easily turn into a terrible thing. What I can’t see is ordering their removal and then doing nothing. This whole fucking thing started because there weren’t any cross walks, if people are starting to paint their fucking own, then guess what just jumped to the top of your priority list.

Remove the do-it-yourself ones if you want, but put some real ones down.

I heard from a very reliable source that nintendo is doomed because they don’t publish on other consoles and sell mobile apps.

The totals are pretty silly because they are counting years that Sony/Microsoft didn’t even exist, but still… The distinct lack of red in Nintendo’s column speaks for itself.

I have a hard time believing that Microsoft, or for that matter Sony, are that unprofitable.

Is this just Console sales? Because for a while now, Sony and Microsoft have been selling the consoles themselves at a loss, at least at the start of the generation, and picking up their profits through game sales.
