Given what we know of Dirk, I feel I can safely say that Bro’s relationship with Dave was probably pretty similar to Vriska’s relationship with Tavros, but done right, and without the sexual tension. So basically, Bro almost certainly pushed Dave as hard as he could, and tried to instill in him a sense of absolute dedication toward what he believed in, while still understanding what was possible and what wasn’t, and when to let up. Zoom
